As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and coordinate a team of engineers responsible for energy analysis, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results. You will oversee the development and review of engineering calculations related to energy usage and savings while managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects. Your role includes supervising fieldwork, as well as guiding technical assessments and analyses to support program development and implementation.
In addition to technical oversight, you will foster collaboration among team members and clients ensuring alignment with project requirements and client needs. Your leadership will drive the success of the team, as you mentor and manage engineers while ensuring that all projects meet quality and timeline expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review engineering calculations for energy usage and savings, ranging from basic to expert levels.
- Oversee the management of the Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) Program, leading a team of engineers to ensure program success and alignment with goals.
- Provide QC on work products that will be delivered to customers and ensuring deliverables meet and satisfy project intent and requirements.
- Lead technical assessments and analyses to support the development and implementation of projects, ensuring alignment with engineering objectives.
- Supervise Engineers, Project Engineers, and Senior Engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Deliver technical training to junior staff to enhance their knowledge and proficiency in energy engineering.
- Engage with customers to build and strengthen relationships and expand kW’s service offerings to meet evolving needs.

What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent education/work experience.
- 6+ years of experience.
- Experienced in the operation and application of major HVAC systems, advanced lighting technologies, or renewable energy solutions in energy engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing recognized methods to estimate energy usage and identify savings opportunities.
- Strong foundation in engineering principles and advanced analytical skills, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a leadership capacity, developed through formal education and extensive practical experience.
